The former support zone at $23.5 served as resistance during the recent bounce.
The strength of the sellers was too high and the downtrend is expected to continue this week.
Avalanche [AVAX] was nearing the $19.6 short-term support level. Its trend remained bearish on the 1-day chart. With Bitcoin [BTC] below $60k, sentiment in the crypto market appeared weak.
This could see Avalanche plunge further. The futures market of AVAX was not bullish either. What are the price targets in case of a drop?
Avalanche retests former support zone as resistance

From mid-June to early August, the $23.5 level was a support. It was breached during the intense selling pressure and was retested over the past few days as resistance. An AVAX bounce to the $22.8 level was met with rejection.
The daily RSI was still below neutral 50 and the OBV continued to trend downward. Together they were a sign of strong bearish momentum and a lack of demand.
The $19.2 and $14.37 levels are the next targets, based on recent price action and the Fibonacci extension levels. The trajectory of Bitcoin could heavily influence AVAX, and sentiment was turning bearish since BTC was below $60k once more.
Speculative interest was weak during the price bounce
The futures market was not hopeful of an Avalanche recovery. When the price reached $22.8 on the 8th of August, the funding rate was just barely positive.
The Open Interest climbed from $152 million to $165 million. It highlighted the lack of bullish conviction in the market despite the price bounce.

A grandmother decided to leave her nine-to-five council job in the UK to work remotely for a business in Barbados, and she’s never been happier. Jacqueline Johnson, 60, made the move to work for her son Justin, 40, as a social media and contract manager in his scalp micropigmentation business.
She was able to make the transition in 2022 through a Welcome Stamp Visa – a 12-month visa that allows people to relocate and work remotely.
Despite the idyllic setting, Jacqueline finds that life in Barbados consists of work, bills, and chores, but she enjoys the freedom of choosing between spending weekends at the beach or pool and appreciates the community and sunshine on the island.
Jacqueline has embraced the relaxed lifestyle of Barbados, working from 7am to 1pm with less stress, observing that locals don’t get anxious about trivial things like Britons do.
Jacqueline Johnson (pictured), 60, left her job at Northampton and West Northamptonshire Council to work remotely in Barbados, and has never been happier
Having extended her visa twice, Jacqueline intends to stay in Barbados long-term as it suits her lifestyle, encouraging others to take a chance and try living abroad.
Jacqueline shared, “It has become my normal life now – while I may live in a different country, I still have responsibilities like chores, bills, and work.
She mentioned that she enjoys the flexibility of deciding her activities on weekends in Barbados, whether it’s spending time at the beach or pool or meeting up with friends.
In comparison to her previous job at North and West Northamptonshire Council, Jacqueline appreciates the new challenges and lifestyle working remotely in Barbados brings.
Many industries have started incorporating a hybrid working model in recent years. However, for scientists, working outside of the lab environment has been a challenge. Most scientists still have fully on-site roles.

Scientist’s research and tests are all conducted in their institutes and stored on an on-premises server. This setup limits their ability to work remotely, as they can’t access their lab notebooks from home. They have to rely on colleagues to share images of instrument readings since these machines are only accessible in the laboratory.
Scientific studies generate large amounts of digital data, from genomic sequences to digital pathology. Handling such massive datasets requires advanced computing power and data analysis tools, posing a challenge for remote work.
Effective collaboration is another obstacle for scientists trying to work remotely. Scientific discoveries heavily rely on teamwork, and working with disparate spreadsheets, notebooks, and email conversations hampers true collaboration.
The main barrier to remote working for scientists is the lack of appropriate lab informatics, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), and ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) software. What key features should scientists look for in LIMS or ELN software to facilitate remote work?
Lab software for scientists working remotely
Sapio is revolutionizing scientific discoveries by showcasing the potential of a science-aware approach to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) software.
Sapio is the only fully cloud-based lab informatics platform, enabling global accessibility. As long as there is an internet connection, scientists can access all data in the cloud-based LIMS and ELN from anywhere. This feature supports scientists in transitioning to remote work.
Additionally, Sapio’s platform seamlessly integrates with laboratory instruments, allowing real-time data uploads from various instruments around the world. Scientists can review their research remotely, whether at conferences or in other labs.
Sapio ELN enables scientists to design experiments and analyze data from any location, promoting efficient collaboration with colleagues worldwide. It supports full cloud-based collaboration, providing internal notifications and messaging for seamless teamwork.
With Sapio ELN, scientists can collaborate on research initiatives, share discoveries, and brainstorm ideas from anywhere in the world. The platform also tracks document and message access, enhancing collaboration transparency.
In the realm of remote work, system integration capabilities in cloud software play a crucial role. Integrating various tools and systems ensures operational efficiency, enhanced collaboration, and streamlined processes for remote and hybrid work environments.
ELain, an innovative artificial intelligence solution, empowers remote teams by automating tasks, analyzing data for insights, and forecasting future trends. By leveraging ELain, teams can overcome challenges in distributed work environments and maintain workflow efficiency.
The future of remote work for scientists
While many knowledge workers have embraced remote and hybrid work, scientists have found it more challenging due to the hands-on nature of lab work. However, opportunities exist for scientists to work remotely, such as data analysis, report writing, and experiment planning.
Remote work offers scientists a better work-life balance, reduced commuting time, improved well-being, and enhanced access to resources. By adopting cloud-based and scientist-designed lab informatics platforms, scientists can unlock the potential for remote work previously unavailable to them.
Integrating technology, virtual collaboration tools, and real-time data access is essential for the scientific community. This integration transforms home offices into hubs of innovation where groundbreaking discoveries can take place.

When you look at my YouTube channel today, you might think I’ve had this thing figured out from the get-go. With over 13,700 subscribers, a new video every two weeks, and YouTube driving more organic traffic to my search engine optimization (SEO) consultancy than any other channel, you’d think it all came quite easily…
But I promise it wasn’t always this way.
I quickly burned out when I tried starting a YouTube channel in 2017. I lacked strategy, struggled with the technical aspects of video production, and failed to gain traction despite publishing 35 videos. This led to me eventually abandoning my YouTube efforts altogether.
A few years later, while addressing client questions about setting up Google Analytics 4, I decided to create a tutorial video. I uploaded it to YouTube pretty casually so I could easily share it, and I was surprised to find that the YouTube algorithm noticed it. Within six months, it reached 22,000 views. That might not seem like a lot when you compare it to other YouTube channels, but this was huge for me.
This experience dramatically shifted my mindset around YouTube. First and foremost, this video allowed me to hit the threshold of being monetized on YouTube with ads (meaning I literally get paid to market my business).
But it also gave me a framework for planning videos that would serve both my audience and the algorithm. It helped me understand the different ways YouTube could benefit my business, ad revenue included. And, most importantly, it showed me that creating successful videos doesn’t have to be as daunting as I initially thought.
Now, I have done everything I can to make the process of running a YouTube channel for marketing as easy and effective as possible, while still keeping it fun and sustainable for me — and I want to share my approach with you. If you’re a business owner struggling to incorporate YouTube into your marketing strategy, here are my tips for streamlining the process.
⚡
Maximize the impact of your videos: With Buffer, crossposting your YouTube Shorts to TikTok and Instagram Reels only takes a couple of clicks — and you can do it on our free plan! Here’s how →
Choose topics that will be helpful to your audience and fun for you
Given how much work YouTube videos can take to create, it’s tempting to over-strategize about which topics will maximize search traffic or virality. But, not only can this approach take time, I found worrying too much about the numbers made me lose passion for it.
Now, I have just two questions that help me choose the topics for my videos:
1. What does my audience want to know about?
First and foremost, I want my videos to be helpful. That, more than anything, means I’m serving a need that people are searching for, I’m providing content that people will want to watch, and I’m showing off expertise that people may want to hire me for.
I get most of my video inspiration from client questions, DMs on social media, and comments on my other YouTube videos, which I compile into a long list of ideas.
My clients now joke that if they have a question, I’ve probably got a YouTube video on it. Even if YouTube did nothing else for my business, it’s motivating to know I’m creating a useful resource, so this approach to planning keeps me pushing forward.
2. What video do I want to create?
When it’s filming day, I look at my list of potential videos and pick the one that sounds fun for me to create. This allows me to feel truly energetic going into filming, rather than forcing myself to check something off a list, making the whole process way easier.
Find an easy format (and don’t hesitate to get help)
People are often shocked to hear that I don’t script my videos. But I’m able to do that because of the format I chose.
Most of my videos are tutorials on topics I already help clients with, meaning I’m essentially teaching something that I know inside and out. I don’t have to research or script anything, I can just sit down and let the words flow from my brain.
Sometimes I vaguely plan the flow in my head so I can stay on track, but otherwise, my “pre-record” task list is pretty minimal.
I also decided early on I didn’t want overly edited videos because my audience would come to expect them from me every time, and I didn’t want to have to do that work. Instead of making me seem less polished, the simplicity builds trust and authentic connection, giving people a peek at what working with me would be like rather than sounding scripted.
That’s not to say there’s no editing on my videos. Someone needs to cut out my awkward pauses, string my clips together (because I usually record in chunks), plug in my intro, outro, and commercials, and add simple graphics to keep things engaging.
I quickly realized if I tried to edit my videos, I would never do it, so I hired someone on Upwork to help me for $35-$80 a video (depending on length and edits needed).
I also recently discovered a video editing tool called Descript, which has been a game changer because it lets me edit videos directly from the transcript, shortening the amount of work it takes to remove unwanted sections. I’ll usually do this myself before I send it over to my video editor, so there’s little to no confusion on what to clip and what to keep.
If video editing (or any other aspect of making videos) sounds daunting or is holding you back, I highly recommend outsourcing or finding tools to simplify the process.
Take small steps to optimize for SEO
Of course, as an SEO consultant, YouTube SEO research plays into my strategy. YouTube is the world’s second-largest search engine after Google — making it another place for users to search for a solution to a problem. And YouTube videos also rank highly in Google search results. To help your videos gain traction, you want to show up as the best solution to that problem.
Rather than using SEO to plan my video topics, I like to use it to set each video up for search success.
Once I’ve chosen a topic, I run it through TubeBuddy to find related keywords that are high volume and low competition — these are the gaps in the market I can try to fill. This process can help me tailor the framing of my video.
For example, I wanted to create a video targeting the topic of “Google reviews,” but I wasn’t sure what specifically I wanted to cover. I typed the keyword into TubeBuddy and looked at the “Related Searches” option to give me ideas.
I saw that “create Google review link” had a strong SEO score based on the number of searches that keyword was getting and how competitive the keyword itself was. So that’s the video I created on my channel back in April 2023, and it’s since gotten over 61,000 views and made me $1,300.
Then, I include these keywords in a few places, including:
Verbally throughout the video: Since YouTube automatically transcribes videos, the algorithm will pick up on words you’re saying.
In the video title and description: If you can get the keyword towards the front of the title, that’s always helpful.
In the video tags: A lot of people think video tags are “outdated” and not helpful. I disagree — they help give the algorithm more context clues about what my video is about. If you use TubeBuddy, you can also check these tags to see if your video is ranking in search results. Below, you can see my “Create a Google Review Link” holds the top spot for “create Google review link” and in the top five for related searches.
Look for multiple ways to use YouTube to benefit your business
So far, I’ve talked a lot about how to create YouTube videos that will gain traction — but how can that actually benefit your business?
YouTube is generally a strong top-of-funnel marketing strategy, increasing visibility and thought leadership. People often watch my videos, remember how helpful I was, and decide to hire me when they need SEO support.
Another way I drive more direct conversions is by inserting “ads” for my products and freebies into my videos. For example, if someone is searching for how to use a specific keyword research tool, my keyword research planner digital product could be useful for them, so I’ll promote it in the middle of related videos.
I take a similar strategy to drive people to download my freebies, which gets them on my newsletter list so I can continue to nurture them.
I also like to remind myself that each of these videos is an asset I can use across my business. I send them to clients during my workflow, link them out in my newsletters, and repost them on Instagram — generally squeezing as much juice out of each video as possible.
Finally, as I mentioned before, when my YouTube channel reached the requirements, I started monetizing it with ads. I currently earn about $950 a month from YouTube ads, but I think of it as the cherry on top and not the goal. The road to monetization isn’t easy, so my advice is to take advantage of it if you can but don’t overly focus on it.
Instead, focus on creating helpful content for your target customer. That’s ultimately how you will create videos that draw in the right audience, showcase what makes working with you special, and serve as a valuable resource for years to come.

PEPE price slipped below $0.00008 on Monday, August 12, marking a 15% decline over the last three days. While bulls who bought the dip during last week’s rebound are booking profits, derivatives market data suggests the ongoing PEPE correction could be a bear trap.
PEPE Price Fails to Flip $0.00001 Resistance
The PEPE price rally stalled over the weekend following a remarkable rebound from the August 5 market crash. The initial negative sentiment surrounding the PEPE market started to fade after the crash, with a strong rebound that saw the price climb significantly.
The bullish news from Brazil approving spot SOL ETFs and Russia authorizing crypto mining provided an additional boost. These developments propelled SOL to a 54.3% rally between August 5 and August 9, reigniting investor interest in the broader crypto markets.
PEPE Price Action | PEPEUSD | TradingView
However, this bullish news cycle may have created an artificial demand surge without any real short-term improvement in market fundamentals. The substantial gains on a weekly timeframe prompted short-term traders to book profits. Consequently, the PEPE price was rejected at $0.00008, leading to a 15% decline over the weekend.
Instead of holding out for a $0.000010 breakout, many short traders opted to lock in profits generated from PEPE’s 57% rebound between August 5 and August 9. Recent movements in PEPE derivatives markets, however, suggest that this could be a bear trap.
Bulls Traders Standing Their Ground with $5.48M Leverage Positions
Despite PEPE’s 15% correction, there has not been a corresponding negative shift in short-term traders’ sentiment. Coinglass’ Liquidation Map, which shows the value of active leverage positions around key price levels, highlights the current situation.
Currently, there is a concentration of leverage LONG positions around key price levels, underscoring the potential for a bear trap.
PEPE Long Liquidation Map | Coinglass
PEPE’s long leverage positions currently stand at $5.48 million, while bears only have $5.13 million in active short positions. The fact that long positions outweigh shorts by $0.35 million after a 15% dip suggests that bull traders are determined to defend their positions.
If bears fail to force a decisive breakdown below $0.000082, this could evolve into a bear trap—a scenario where a price decline lures in short sellers, only for the price to reverse and rise sharply, trapping the shorts in losing positions.
PEPE Price Forecast: Next Rally Could Trigger $0.000010 Breakout
Although overall crypto market sentiment remains bearish, data shows that PEPE bulls are exhibiting strong resilience. This resilience could see PEPE maintain relatively high support levels and potentially spark a major breakout in the next phase.
If PEPE price manages to hold above $0.000082, a bullish sentiment could begin to dominate, leading to another rally. A successful rally could target the $0.000010 resistance level, which, if broken, might pave the way for further gains.
PEPE Price Forecast | PEPEUSD | TradingView
Key support remains at $0.00008, where bulls are likely to defend their positions vigorously. A break below this level could invalidate the bullish outlook, but a strong bounce from here might reignite buying interest, driving the price toward the $0.000010 level.
Given the current technical indicators and market conditions, the next PEPE rally could indeed trigger a breakout past $0.000010, signaling a potential shift in market momentum.
Before the pandemic, working in the insurance industry typically meant a 9-5 office job, which could be longer for some people. The majority of this time was spent in the office, commuting to and from work added an hour or even more to the working day.
However, as we all recognize, times and the definition of ‘the workplace’ have changed, potentially permanently. Working from home, or part-time (often referred to as telecommuting to avoid imagining someone attending a client meeting from their kitchen), is now commonplace in our industry.
When Karen Williams (pictured) joined Risk Strategies as part of the company’s acquisition of Krauter & Company based in New York, she may not have anticipated that the working world would be drastically changed by a global pandemic beginning in distant Asia. This pandemic triggered a tidal wave of remote work, prompting Risk Strategies to make significant adjustments to its workforce model by emphasizing remote work.
The shift towards remote work
In a unique interview with Williams, who is now a senior managing director at the top 10 private insurance brokerages, she revealed to Insurance Business that over 90% of the company’s private equity vertical now operates completely remotely.
“A few employees follow a hybrid model,” she informed IB, “but over 90 percent – maybe even close to 95% – are completely remote with a broad geographic footprint within the US.”
Originally, employees were offered the choice between full-time remote or in-office work environments.
“The remote work model has resulted in increased productivity and job satisfaction,” Williams pointed out. “It also offers more flexibility, especially for employees with caregiving duties. We have a number of working mothers who have been recently hired.”
This change is in line with broader trends in the US workforce, where remote work has become increasingly prevalent. According to a 2023 Stanford University report, 40% of US workers work at least one day a week from home.
Risk Services’ transition to remote work was fast following the coronavirus outbreak, and staff were given options about what they preferred to do.
“At the outset, we were primarily offered two options,” Williams elaborated, “and it was either fully remote or fully in office. So, 80% of the staff went fully remote. It was surprising. I don’t think any of us anticipated that.”
Among the remaining employees, while they chose to work in the office, they now tend to use a hybrid model more than full-time office work, according to Williams. “I would say they are more inclined at 20% to be hybrid. They’re in maybe Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Tuesday and Thursday.”
The lingering question, however, is how the dispersed workforce impacts business growth and development.
“[The remote work feature] is a very appealing feature I find, and it does aid in our recruitment process,” explained Williams. “But I am not a full advocate of it…does it really last and contribute to the growth and development at the pace we would like to see? I don’t think so.”
Research supports some of Williams’ concerns, with another recent Stanford paper showing that any savings on commute time are more than offset by increased needs for meetings, distractions or other factors.
Filling the talent gap by targeting the young
With the impending retirement of a large number of baby boomers, Risk Strategies has already started to integrate younger professionals into the workforce. The company’s teams consist of members from multiple generations, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration. Senior employees are tasked with mentoring junior associates, a critical part of the company’s strategy to bridging the talent gap.
“Our teams usually consist of boomers, Gen Xers, and millennials,” said Williams. “This structure encourages the transfer of industry knowledge while also allowing senior staff to learn from younger employees, especially in areas like technology.”
Teams are constructed around senior level employees, “They are given the responsibility of developing their junior associates as part of their roles,” she said. “It’s not an option, it’s part of the responsibilities, just like dealing or handling a client. They are also responsible for the growth of their associates. So, the teams are primarily structured at the senior level. You would have a boomer or a Gen Xer, and these boomers would be supported mainly by the millennials.”
The company also has several programs that are continually being developed. “It’s an ongoing process,” explained Williams. “Needs change and one has to evolve with that. So we have a number of programs for varying levels of talent and a program for future rising stars.”
“New hires are offered the opportunity to work for, say, six months in one vertical and then cycle
