US Ghost Adventures is seeking storytellers in over 100 spooky locations. Dive into your local haunted history and lead eerie tours for fascinated guests. Could this be your ideal side hustle?
Details on Becoming a US Ghost Adventures Tour Guide:
US Ghost Adventures is seeking dynamic storytellers to lead downtown walking tours. Tours take place nightly at 8 PM, lasting between 60 and 90 minutes and covering a mile. Ideal candidates should be personable and proficient in public speaking, making this a great part-time evening gig.
COMPENSATION: $40 – $50 per tour, plus cash tips.
TOUR DURATION: Approximately 90 minutes, with groups ranging from 2 to 35 people.
SCHEDULE: Operates year-round, seven days a week.
COMMITMENT: Minimum three nights a week for one year.
RESIDENCE: Must live within 15 miles of downtown.
Four-Step Hiring Process
Our efficient four-step process can have you leading tours in as little as two weeks, depending on how quickly you learn the material. Follow our guidance and you’ll be ready to guide!
Step 1: Introduction Webinar
Join one of our optional live webinars to learn about the hiring process and ask questions. If you can’t attend, move to Step 2: initial audition.
Step 2: Initial Audition
Submit a recitation of a sample story paragraph on our website for your initial audition.
Step 3: Contract and Training
Once approved, you’ll sign a contract via DocuSign and receive study materials. Familiarize yourself with them and the tour route for your test.
Step 4: Onboarding and Scheduling
After passing your test, you’ll receive your t-shirt and equipment. The hiring manager will review procedures, add you to the schedule, and you’ll start leading tours!
