Hot Topic, renowned for its pop-culture merchandise and clothing, currently has openings for Remote Customer Service Representatives. These positions are 100% remote but restricted to residents outside California in the U.S.
In this role, your tasks will include responding to emails and live chats, ensuring the brand’s voice is maintained, and monitoring phone queues for optimal coverage.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and strong computer proficiency. Compensation ranges from $14.50 to $15 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor phone queues to ensure proper coverage
- Respond to emails and live chats, reflecting our brand’s voice
- Leverage product knowledge to assist customers effectively
- Provide feedback on customer service processes
- Maintain patience and a consistent approach while supporting customers
- Inform customers about order status and product availability
- Meet all quality, productivity, reliability, and sales performance standards
- Assist with overflow calls from other departments as needed
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in customer service or call center
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Fast typing speed to handle high volume of emails and chats
- Access to an internet speed of at least 100 kb/s
- A quiet and secure home workspace
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Shift Options
Available shift times include:
- Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm PST
- Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm PST
Compensation
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $14.50 to $15, depending on various factors such as education, location, experience, and meeting the job requirements.
