Key Responsibilities for the Remote Associate Customer Service Representative

As a Remote Associate Customer Service Representative, you will offer invaluable support for Kohler and Sterling products. This includes assisting with installation, resolving pre-purchase queries, and taking orders. Your prime mission is to ensure an exceptional experience for every customer interaction. Approach each task with empathy, accuracy, and a positive attitude, aiming for superior customer delight, as reflected in feedback.

Primary Functions and Duties

• Respond to incoming customer queries via calls, providing diagnostics and suitable solutions.
• Engage in advanced troubleshooting and provide technical guidelines to various professionals like plumbers and designers.
• Guide customers and trade professionals through product installation and repair steps.
• Navigate multiple software platforms effectively, managing customer relationships and orders efficiently.
• Capitalize on Customer Care Center technologies for delivering solutions.
• Develop a deep understanding of Kohler and Sterling products along with warranty details.
• Interpret technical documentation and diagrams proficiently.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Handle order tracking, availability, and shipping information adeptly.
• Encourage the purchase of additional Kohler and Sterling products where suitable.
• Contribute to procedural recommendations that enhance customer service uptime.
• Report observed trends in product variations to quality control and engineering departments.
• Engage in departmental projects and customer service support functions as needed.
• Strive to meet or exceed performance metrics and maintain attendance standards.

Qualifications and Expectations

• High school diploma or GED required; a higher degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience in customer service roles is ideal.
• Proficiency in computer skills is essential for success in this role.
• Call center experience is advantageous.
• Completion of Kohler’s internal Brand Ambassador training is mandatory.

Home Office Requirements for Remote Customer Service

All necessary equipment is provided by Kohler!

• Associates must arrange their own wired internet connection with a minimum speed of 10mbps through cable, fiber, or DSL. Wi-Fi, dial-up, satellite, or cellular internet connections are not permissible.
• Set up a private, noise-free work environment.
• Ensure your availability and focus during assigned shift times, free from all other responsibilities.
• The work schedule is fixed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with designated break and lunch times.
• Post-training, part-time shifts range from 34-36 hours per week, with increased hours during peak seasons.
