With the presidential election approaching, many Americans are deeply concerned about finances. A recent GOBankingRates survey revealed that 25% of Americans are voting based solely on the candidate they believe will bolster their financial well-being, with an additional 42% considering their finances as a significant factor.
However, personal finance expert Dave Ramsey maintains that neither election outcome will drastically alter your financial stability. Discover Ramsey’s perspective below, and explore his essential financial tips to safeguard your financial future.
Ramsey’s Perspective on Financial Responsibility
In a recent appearance on “Cavuto Coast To Coast”, Dave Ramsey criticized the financial policies of both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
“Neither of [them] are fiscally responsible. Both are planning more spending, pushing the deficit further,” Ramsey stated. He emphasized that despite such alarming rhetoric, these financial policies won’t significantly affect individual finances.
“This rhetoric is nothing new; it’s been around since I was young,” he added. “Regardless of who is in office, Americans will navigate through these challenges and remain resilient.”
Taking Charge of Your Financial Future
Rather than relying on political figures to be your financial savior, Ramsey encourages individuals to take full control of their financial destiny.
“The best strategy is to recognize that no candidate will be your financial savior,” he advised. “Look in the mirror: the change starts at home, not the White House.”
