F-Mobile Money Scheme Gains Traction – Solomon Star

Rising Popularity of F-Mobile Money Scheme in Solomon Islands

The F-Mobile (Friendship) Money scheme, an innovative online earning platform, is rapidly gaining traction among Solomon Islanders. With promises of financial returns through digital activities and referrals, this program has piqued significant interest across the region.

Growing Trend in Solomon Islands

Initiated in Honiara and Gizo, the F-Mobile Money initiative has swiftly expanded to other provinces. Many islanders, grappling with tough economic conditions, view it as a promising avenue for income generation. This mobile-based platform enables users to earn money by engaging with advertisements and enrolling new participants.

How F-Mobile Money Functions

Participants reportedly receive payments in US dollars, which are converted into Solomon dollars and transferred to their mobile wallets. According to a Gizo resident, “I joined F-Mobile Money in June and have already received several payments. It’s helping me manage small expenses like phone credits and daily necessities.”

The system leverages a referral model, charging an initial registration fee of USD $21 (around SBD $280). Members earn commissions for recruiting others, leading some to describe it as a “money tree.” Early members report earning substantial profits, with one individual claiming over SBD $100,000 in a single month.

Leadership and Community Engagement

F-Mobile Money is spearheaded by Ron Capua, a Filipino entrepreneur based in California and CEO of World Class Wireless Network, LLC. The platform’s reach is bolstered by social media testimonials and live Zoom sessions, where the CEO encourages global participation and investment.

Concerns and Cautionary Advice

Despite its popularity, digital finance experts express reservations about the F-Mobile Money scheme. A senior ICT officer cautions users to understand the mechanics before committing, warning, “Not all digital schemes are sustainable or transparent.”

The absence of regulatory oversight in the Solomon Islands poses potential risks, making it crucial for users to remain vigilant. Consulting financial advisers and reporting suspicious activities are strongly recommended.

Reflecting on past scams such as “One Link” and the Family Charity Fund, which resulted in significant financial loss for many, the public is urged to exercise caution and prioritize informed decision-making over the allure of quick profits.
