The pay for this opportunity ranges from $17.00 – $28.46 per hour.

Job Overview

This is a fully remote opportunity. Candidates must reside in the following time zones: EST, CST, or PST.

  • Effectively address queries and resolve issues via phone and letters from members, providers, and plan sponsors. Assign follow-up tasks to the relevant personnel as needed. Maintain superior customer service for high-volume inbound provider calls within the Claims Inquiry and Research teams.
  • Conduct thorough claims research across various platforms to provide payment-related assistance to providers.
  • Proactively share relevant information to anticipate customer needs, including plan details, self-service resources, and member rights in accordance with contracts.
  • Manage claim referrals and inquiries, as well as grievances and appeals from members and providers using our designated system.
  • Educate providers about self-service options and assist with credentialing and contracting inquiries.
  • Support the collection of claim data for customer audits, verifying member coverage and eligibility during correspondence and internal referrals.
  • Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

Qualifications Required for the Remote Customer Service Representative Position

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Teams, and Excel
  • Able to navigate multiple systems efficiently while assisting customers
  • Experience in a high-volume call center environment
  • Strong customer service skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Must have stable high-speed internet (minimum 100 mbps) and a reliable connection. A speed test will be required prior to the interview.
  • Your work environment should feature a direct connection to your router (NO Wi-Fi). We will provide a 6½-foot ethernet cable; if your setup requires longer, please obtain your own.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in healthcare
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Compensation Range

The typical compensation for this position is between $17.00 and $28.46 per hour.

This range is the basic hourly rate or full-time salaried amount for job grades relevant to this position. Actual salary offers will vary based on experience, education, location, and other pertinent factors.
