Remote Content Reviewer Roles at Gaggle Now Available at $15/Hour
Cyberbullying, threats of violence, drug use, suicidal intentions, teen depression, and abusive domestic situations—these are all serious issues students can encounter online. Gaggle is actively seeking Remote Content Reviewers to help mitigate these dangers.
In this independent contractor role, you will review and evaluate student activities to spot potentially harmful content, such as inappropriate words, phrases, statements, or images across platforms like email, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive.
Please be aware that you may encounter sensitive content, including graphic images that might be disturbing or contain nudity.
Job Description Highlights
Gaggle is looking for Independent Contractors to review student activity for flagged concerns. These temporary, non-renewable contracts offer flexibility, allowing contractors to set their schedules.
By joining Gaggle’s Safety Management team, you’ll help identify risks such as drug use, bullying, school violence threats, depression, suicidal intentions, and abusive situations that affect K-12 students. As an Independent Contractor, your work will contribute to creating a safer online environment for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze student activity to identify inappropriate use of words, phrases, statements, and images in email, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.
- Process flagged content accurately and efficiently according to set metrics provided by Gaggle
- Escalate suspicious findings to Gaggle Safety Representatives
- Communicate and collaborate with a nationwide team via chat
- Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications
- Experience in education, crisis management, content review, child advocacy, or related fields
- Interest and enthusiasm for reading diverse types of content lengths
- Ability to distinguish between harmful and harmless student matters
- Show tolerance and respect for differing opinions
- Experience working independently; prior experience as an Independent Contractor is preferred
- Access to high-speed internet (satellite connections are unacceptable)
- Own a computer, Chromebook, or laptop (tablets or phones are not acceptable)
Additional Information
- The team operates 24/7/365. Most work is available between 7 am and 4 pm Central, from Monday to Friday, with some work available outside these hours.
- This is a non-renewable, gig-based contract with varying workloads and hours.
- This Independent Contractor role does not qualify for benefits or overtime pay and can be terminated at any time.
- There is potential for contract renewal depending on workload and personal performance.
- After completing 30 hours, you may be eligible for additional contract opportunities.
- Contractors must be capable of viewing sensitive and graphic content, including nudity.
- Annual criminal background checks, including National Criminal and National Sex Offender Registry checks, are required for all Independent Contractors.
